Pre-Paid Terms required when dealing with Peridave Imports

Let's stick to the facts here…A few simple principals to follow if you are NEW and UNKNOWN to the industry and wish to present a modicum of ethical business standards. -As a goodwill gesture due to aforementioned comment, we ordered a $16,000 watch for Peridave Imports with no deposit, only her word that it was a confirmed order and she had a deposit from the customer. She requested on numerous occasions that we "rush" the watch in for a deadline. On arrival (approx. 5 days later and on time), we promptly contacted her as we were prepared to ship and she stated that she did not have funds to pay for her special order on delivery and would need to receive the funds from the customer FIRST before payment can be executed. This, in addition to the fact that she could not substantiate her references or a valid existence of her business, hence the COD demand. We searched for options to amicably deal with her financial predicament but her only option was to tell us she couldn't pay for the watch and that she no longer wished to take delivery…Quite disappointing to say the least. In essence, we continue to have the watch lying dormant in inventory, she has to date refused to pay the re-stocking fee, and as a result of this unfortunate situation, we will make sure that we protect other wholesalers that make the mistake of "trusting" a so-called business that "presents" themselves as legitimate and self-supporting in their business transactions. In our humble opinion, if you choose to deal with Peridave Imports, "Caveat Emptor" should be the first thought that crosses your mind or you could end up on the downside of the deal….like me.
