Darren Reay Watches would like to officially make the following statement in relation to the comment posted about us on this site:

We sold an Omega Constellation wristwatch to Simon Stone and when Mr Stone commented some months later that Swatch Group UK had said they though it was a counterfiet as 'the dial and caseback didn't look correct.  We took this very seriously. We sent the watch back to the suuplier, namely a Michael Vasquez who is a leading attorney in California USA (www.vandelaw.com). Mr Vasquez was amazed to hear what Swatch UK had said so he took it on my behalf to his local Omega Service Centre in California (Rafaels extablished 1929).

Rafaels are an official Omega Service Centre and they inspected the watch in full and raised a report/insurance valuation for the watch and confirmed to us that the watch was indeed a 100% genuine Omega. In addition to Omega Rafaels are also an official servce centre for Rolex, Patek and Tag Heuer, so it would be safe to assume that they know what they are talking about!.

We passed all the above information onto Mr Stone, he wasn't happy. We offered Mr Stone an identical watch from our stock as a replacement, he wasn't happy (This watch was slightly older, BUT in better condition and was up at more money than the first watch!).

The matter is now with the courts and we are presenting our documentary evidence in October which clearly demonstrates the watch is 100% genuine. We have discovered that the dial on this American model is very slightly different to that of a UK version, hence this is why Swatch UK have made an error.
