Hyperbole or Internet Scam? New products being sold indecently!

Crooks around the world have produced copies of legimate higher priced wristwatches for years. When they represent and sell them as the original product...the buyers are cheated. Many
buyers do not even know that they were cheated and some never
even find out!

Now...with hyperbole we have some firms using Swiss watch names from history, producing wristwatches under these names and using hyperbole retail pricing. Without any market support or track record for the hyperbole pricing, many auctions are listing the unrealistic retail prices, the auction bids and resultant savings. All of this hyperbole is being utilized to obtain our putchases...with the probability of losing most of the price if
the product is sold.

I recently had the opportunity to inspect several of these new
type wristwatches that were being auctioned at many major internet auction websites. Retail on one was stated to be $8,995 & the highest auction bids were just over $400...the auction website was showing savings of over $8,500. This was total hokum...the major auction websites should know what is available for $9,000 from the major wristwatch manufacturers and compare their quality of product with the hyperbole product.

The watches were listed as Swiss with no address, no serial
numbers on the movements, inside the case, no address on the
hyperbole websites, no address or phone on the paperwork or
guarantee and no origin on the leather band. There was a Made in China sticker on the bottom the outer boxes though.

I phoned the Customer Service manager of one major auction
house and disclosed that I had utilized Whois.com to verify
the websites for Balmer, Louis Bolle, Heuer & Lambelet and
L.B. Audemars and that all of them had the same address in
Carrollton, Texas. Further, when the administrative contact
for the Texas location was contacted...he stated that the watches were actually produced in Switerland and the address was a POB. I also sent e-mails to several executives of this auction website requesting their swift investigation and actions to protect their customers.

The Swiss authorities have been notified and IFCC Complaint was
filed with the FBI. The FBI complaint is for Internet Auction
Misrepresentation. The FBI Complaint number is I04040702232029.

I'd suggest that purchasers of this new hyperbole product demand a full refund from the sellers and in some situations it may be the actual internet auction websites.

Be very careful out there!!!
