Rolex SS Daytona Color Change Dial Plus Inverted 6 Dial Reference 16520 ZENITH Movement! Complete!

Rolex SS Daytona (ZENITH Movement) Reference 16520, serial E954,xxx (1992), Black Color-Change (Patrizzi) Dial! This wristwatch was sold again in May, 2010 by a Patrizzi associate with receipt, also has an additional White Dial with numeral 6 inverted.

Black dialed Rolex Daytonas had been getting extremely popular, this advanced to an incredible peak when an Italian collector Osvaldo Patrizzi sold his Rolex collection in 2006 as it included a 16520 Black dialed Daytona which had a beautiful Brown discoloration in the subchapter rings. This discoloration was also occurring within other Black Daytona dials and were subsequently called 'Patrizzi Daytonas.' Patrizzi's watch attracted a lot of interested buyers as it sold for more than twice the selling cost of most normal Daytonas without the color change.

The color change of the subdials fades to brown or chocolate colors. This happened due to ultraviolet light and the unique materials used by Rolex during a brief production.

Our Cosmograph Daytona reference 16520 features a color change (Patrizzi) dial (also known as a 'Patrizzi' dial). The color change happens only to the Black dial Daytonas from the 1990s. The Daytona imprintation is in Red & the original Silver subdial chapter rings have changed color from silver to a beautiful Brown. Ours depicts that the chronograph subdial chapter rings are already in the full stage of fading to Brown.  The Rolex Oyster bracelet is full size at 13 links and will fit up to an 8 inch wrist.  OPEN PAPERS from a USA Rolex dealer too!

These Patrizzi color change dials are extremely rare and much desired by collectors. This fantastic Daytona has boxes, original unsigned papers dated March, 1992 (USA dealer), tag, serial tag, Rolex calendar card for 1992/93, wallet, certificate holder, Rolex Cosmograph Booklet, Rolex Oyster Booklet & Rolex Service Booklet, slightly worn halogram with a thin plastic film protector added, Rolex polishing cloth too...it's COMPLETE!
