Patek Philippe - 18k Gold Reference 2551 Automatic - Mint Plus Plus Plus with NEW Patek Black Crocodile Strap and 18k Deployant! Almost like a demo...in absolutely exceptional condition! Looks like a demo that's over 50 years old...what a nice collectible! Patek Philippe Reference 2551, the 'milestone' AUTOMATIC! Made in 1955! This Reference 2551 was for the FIRST self-winding wristwatch ever made by Patek Philippe. It's looks like almost new old stock with complete and untouched proof marks, very clean inside. It looks like it could pass for a new demo over 55 years later. I purchased it from a certified Patek repairman rated CMW by the American Watchmaker's Institute. Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back, stepped concave bezel, fluted lugs. Movement is caliber 12-600 AT, stamped with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark, rhodium-plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 30 jewels, straight line lever escapement, Gyromax balance adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator, 18K gold rotor, screw-down case back. The dial, case and movement are signed. Diameter is 36 mm x 11 mm thick. Added a NEW Patek Black Crocodile Strap plus a Patek 18k Deployant clasp. Accompanied by Patek's Extract from their Archives! Box too. Sell for $23,350 or trade! Without the Deployant clasp the price would be $20,850 or trade!
