Sent the following message to executives of Ubid.com today... ----- Delivered-To: complete@dslextreme.com X-Sender: complete@mail.dslextreme.com X-Mailer: QUALCOMM Windows Eudora Version 5.2.1 Date: Sun, 18 Apr 2004 10:34:26 -0700 To: customercare@cs.ubid.com From: Administration Subject: Junk from Ubid...Could be a fraud, NOTIFY the FBI! Cc: sallyd@ubid.com, susiek@ubid.com, robertd@ubid.com, timothyt@ubid.com, legal@ubid.com, administration@ubid.com, pr@ubid.com, webmaster@ubid.com, manos@ubid.com, timt@ubid.com, complete@dslextreme.com Will your firm's hyperbole reduce Ubid's future customer base...YES! I've stopped buying from Ubid and I know of dozens of others too! I just reviewed your watch auctions and noticed other watches with the same website address in Texas that I previously wrote about on April 7th. Each auction ad states that, "This product is being sold by Ubid'"! In fact, the watches that I bought were shipped from Texas and I had to return them to Texas. I have the delivery confirmation for the watches returned and I am STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND! BTW, someone at Ubid disclosed my personal cellular number to the Texas group and a man phoned using the name John...PLUG THIS LEAK OF CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION! Most of you ads still claim hyperbole savings and your firm still doesn't disclose the address of your supplier in Texas. I'd suggest that Ubid disclose the addresses of all suppliers that Ubid claims to be selling product that is actually shipped by the supplier. This disclosure by Ubid will enable future customers to realize that Ubid's USave claims are truly just hyperbole!!! If Ubid thinks that your disclaimer to your Compare at pricing and the USave differences shown will cause increases in sales...you're wrong! Don Breier
