To be honest, I had never heard of the Berne watch company before buying this one, but having an ETA 2824-2 movement was enough to satisfy me. It turns out that this watch is very hard to find and I considered myself lucky to get it. This one is a beautiful piece of jewelry that has the features of a diver while looking somewhat dressy – the picture reflects this – I am very fond of coin edge diver’s bezels and own several.
I bought this watch also during the period when I was building up my collection and now need to trim down to accommodate my storage capability – I got carried away. I rotate my watches daily and so have only worn this one a few times - the back and bracelet have the normal “swirlies” from this wear. I rate it at about 90%.
This excellent watch features,
• Swiss ETA 2824-2 Automatic Movement
• Scratch Resistant Sapphire Crystal
• Date Window at 3 O’clock
• Signed Case, Dial and Bracelet
• Water Resistance to 100m (335 ft)
• White Dial With Silver Markers and SS Case/Bracelet
• Attractive Bracelet With Double Secure Clasp
• Case 38mm Wide
• Uni-directional, Rotating Divers Bezel
• Screw Down Crown and Back
• Luminous Hands and Markers
I’m very fond of this watch also but need for it to go – It has an MSP of $795 but is usually dealer sold for $199 new - I’m asking for $145.00 OBO.+ $5.00 S&H.
I accept and prefer PayPal with no surcharge. My PayPal ID is "chucks@tcq.net".
I would also accept a personal check or money order but shipment would be held until the check/M.O. clears. PayPal payments would get a “next day” shipment.
An international sale is possible but that would require and adjustment in shipping costs.. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at chucks@tcq.net.
