I considered it a small miracle when I discovered the Alpha line of sport watches. Alpha’s are manufactured in Asia but, given their very affordable cost, are a fantastic bargain. For much less than $100, they usually contain hardy self-winding movements that keep very accurate time. The stainless steel bracelets usually use screws instead of the cheaper push pins found in most other brands. They are very hefty and solid watches that should last for years. I own several! This particular model has a black dial with a subtle earth pattern of latitude and longitude markings plus easy-to-read white luminous text, numbers & hands. The date window is bubble magnified to make it easily readable also. The stainless steel bracelet and head are a brushed finish with a polished bezel. Perhaps the most interesting feature is the screw-on crown cover, which gives the watch a “canteen” look. I am selling this piece because my collection has significantly outgrown my display and winder space. I have worn it about 3 times and so you will find a very few small scratches on the bracelet that can probably be buffed out.
